OF PAGES: 1 7864 PEl SEQUENCE: 20050051288 SMARA 01/07/2005 TOWN OF MARANA RES 16:18 """'" ATTN: TOWN CLERK 13251 N LON ADAMS RD MAIL MARANA AZ 85653 AMOUNT PAID $ 8.00 MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-01 RELATING TO HOUSING; AUTHORIZING STAFF TO FORECLOSE THE TOWN'S LIEN AND NEGOTIATE WITH THE OWNERS TO ACQUIRE LOT #49, HONEA HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, PIMA COUNTY PARCEL #217-52-0850, FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING A HOUSE AS PART OF THE TOWN'S HOME PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana holds a lien on Lot #49, Honea Heights subdivision, Pima County Parcel #217-52-0850, and desires to foreclose the lien and negotiate with the owners to acquire the lot for the purpose of building a house as part of the Town's HOME Program; and WHEREAS, any costs incurred to accomplish the foreclosure and negotiation will be paid from the Town's CDBG Affordable Housing Program; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council find that such a foreclosure and negotiation are in the best interest of the Town. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE ~ TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Town of Marana staff is hereby authorized to foreclose the lien and negotiate a settlement with the property owners to acquire the lot for the Town's HOME Program SECTION 2. The Town's Manager and staff are hereby directed and authorized to undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to carry out the terms, obligations, and objectives of the aforementioned actions. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, this 4th day of January, 2005.
