ARIZONA, SUPPORTI1NG THE MARANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND
OVERRIDE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MARCH 12, 1996.
WHEREAS, the Marana Unified School District has provided a top quality education to
the children of the Town of Marana and Pima County; and
WHEREAS, the children of the Marana Unified School District are in desperate need of
funding to continue the quality of education and programs the Marana Unified School District
has provided in the past; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Marana recognizes that our children are
our most valuable asset and deserve the highest quality of education a school district can
provide; and
WHEREAS, the cuts in funding for public education have had a dramatic impact on the
Marana Unified School District and the need for funding from alternative sources has never been
greater.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona support the Marana Unified School District in its bond override election to be
held on March 13, 1996.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 5th day of March, 1996.
