A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGR~Ia~MENT BETWEEN TIlE TOWN OF MARANA AND THE CITY OF TUCSON FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF ENHANCED BUS SHELTERS.
WHEREAS, the City of Tucson is a party to an intergovernmental agreement with the State
Department of Transportation for funding for air quality improvement projects within Pima County;
and
WHEREAS, the city desires that Marana administer and be responsible for the allocation of
State fund'mg for the enhancement of bus shelters within the town limits; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interests of the citizens of the Town
of Marana that bus shelters be constructed;
WHEREAS, the town and the city wish to emer into this intergovernmental agreement
pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-952 to further their respective interests and responsibilities to the citizens
of Marana.
NOW, TI-[EKEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the town enter into the intergovernmental agreement attached hereto as
Exhibit A between the Town of Marana and the City of Tucson for the construction of enhanced bus
shelters.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this
2nd day of April, 1996. .
