A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
APPROVING THE DEVELOPMEaNT PLAN FOR THE RED ROOF INN LOCATED AT 4950
WEST 13q'A ROAD.
WHEREAS, Red Roof Inns, Inc. is the owner of approximately 3.43 acres of property
located at 4950 West Ina Road, more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of the development plan
for a hotel; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission considered the request to approve the
development plan on March 27, 1996, and voted 6-0 to recommend that the Town Council approve
the development plan; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Counc'il heard from the representative of the owner, staff, and
members of the public at the regular Town Council meefmg held April 16, 1996 and has determined
that the development plan submitted by Red Roof Inns, Inc. for a hotel should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona that the development plan for a hotel submitted by Red Roof Inns, Inc. located at
4950 West Ina Road and more particularly described in Exhibit A is approved subject to the
following conditions:
The property owner must submit separate plans for signs to town staff prior to the
installation of any signs and the plans shall comply with Title 16 of the Marana Land Use
and Development Code.
The property owner must submit a native plant program to town staff and the Marana
Planning Commission for approval prior to the issuance of a grad'mg permit and the plan
shall comply with Title 20 of the Marana Land Use and Development Code. Further, the
property owner shall obtain a letter of clearance from the Arizona Department of
Agriculture.
The property owner must provide approval from the Pima County Department of
Environmental Quality for a septic system to be used on the property.
The property owner shall construct a gate on the trash enclosure and the enclosure shall be
constructed of masonry.
The property owner must provide proof of compliance with the concerns expressed by
Tucson Electric Power Company, Arizona State Museum, Arizona Department of
Transportation and Arizona Department of Agriculture.
