HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 96-037 exemption from lighting code for special eventMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 96-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING A ONE NIGHT EXEMPTION FROM THE OUTDOOR LIGHT~G CODE TO ALLOW FOR THE USE OF A SEARCHLIGHT BY CARONDELET I-~ALTH CARE FOR THE CENTURION'S ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL ANNUAL BENEFIT TO BE HELD ON MAY 11, 1996. VCI-IEKEAS, the use of searchlights within the town limits is prohibited pursuant to the Outdoor Lighting Code unless an exemption is granted by the Town Council; and WHEREAS, Carondelet Health Care has applied for an exemption from the Outdoor Lighting Code for the use of a searchlight at the annual fundralsing event to be held at Sportspark located at 6901 North Casa Grande Highway on May 11, 1996 for the purpose of raising money for a charitable fund; and WHEREAS, the Town Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the town and ks citizens that the exemption be granted to Carondelet Health Care, to be used at Sportspark located at 6901 North Casa Grande Highway on May 11, 1996 for the purpose of raising money for the St. Mary's Hospital charitable fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana that a one night exemption from the Outdoor Lighfmg Code for the use of a searchlight to Carondelet Health Care, to be used at Sportspark located at 6901 North Casa Grande Highway on May 11, 1996 for the purpose of raising money for the St. Mary's Hospital charitable fund is hereby approved.
