HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 96-045 amendment to IGA for 1993 CDBGMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 96-45 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA AUTHORIZING THE TOWN TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT TO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGR~!~MENT WITH THE COUNTY OF PIMA FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE 1993 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Town has entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement providing that the County will apply for the 1993 Community Development Block Grant Program funds on behalf of the Town, and has in fact done so; WI-m. REAS, the Town of Marana and Pima County desire to enter into an amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement extending the expiration date of the Intergovernmental Agreement from June 30, 1996 to December 31, 1996 due to the fact that there are funds remaining in the 1993 Community Development Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement would greatly benefit the citizens of the Town of Marana and would be in the Town's best interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana that the Mayor is authorized to execute the amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Maxana and Pima County to change the expiration date of the Intergovernmental Agreement for the implementation of the 1993 Community Development Block Grant Program from June 30, 1996 to December 31, 1996, by Amendment Number Four to Contract No. 13-39-T-118296-I 193, attached hereto as Exhibit A.
