A RESOLUTION OF THE 1LrLAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
APPROVING THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR A DAY'S INN WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL
RANCH BUSINESS PARK SUBMITTED BY MMP PROPERTIES 1NC. AND LOCATED AT
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HOSPITALITY ROAD AND CRACKER BARREL ROAD IN
A PORTION OF THE WEST HALF OF SECTION 26, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12
EAST.
WHEREAS, MMP Properties is currently in the process of purchasing an approximate 2.6
acre parcel of property located at the southwest comer of Hospitality Road and Cracker Barrel Road
and specifically in a portion of the west 1/2 of Section 26, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, more
particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein, and has applied to the
Town of Marana for approval of the development plan for a Day's Inn hotel within the Continental
Ranch Business Park; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission considered the request to approve the
development plan on February 25, 1998, and voted 5-0 to recommend that the Town Council
approve the development plan contingent upon approval of the final plat governing the project site;
and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council heard from the representative of the owner, staff, and
members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held March 17, 1998, and has
determined that the development plan submitted by MMP Properties, for a Day's Inn hotel on a 2.6
acre parcel within the Continental Ranch Business Park should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the development plan for a Day's Inn hotel submitted by MMP Properites,
located at the southwest comer of Hospitality Road and Cracker Barrel Road and more particularly
described in Exhibit A is approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this
17th day of March, 1998.
