HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 95.26 Changing the zoning on land located at 6900 Camino Martin - ORDINANCE NO. 95.26 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, CHANGING THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 6.6 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT 6900 CAMINO MARTIN, FROM "ZONE R-36" (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY, MINIMUM LOT SIZE OF 36,000 S.F.) TO "ZONE HI" (HIGH INDUSTRIAL). WHEREAS, Clarence and Ada Bond are the owners of a parcel of land approximately 6.6 acres in size located on the east side of Camino Martin, approximately 1,506 feet south of the intersection of Ina Road and Camino Martin in the Northwest quarter of Section 6, T13S R13E, more particularly set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto, which is currently zoned "Zone R-36" (Residential Single Family, minimum lot size of 36,000 s.f.); and WHEREAS, the owner, through the applicant, Harry Charles Engelhart, Jr., has applied to the Town of Marana to change the zoning of this property from "Zone R - 36" (Residential Single Family, minimum lot size of 36,000 s.f.) to "Zone HI" (High Industrial); and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission held a public hearing on the rezoning request on May 31, 1995, and following this public hearing voted 4-0 to recommend that the Town Council grant the request for rezoning; and -, WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Marana held a public hearing on the rezoning request on October 17, 1995, to obtain public input on the request for a change of zoning, and believes that said change of zoning is in the best interests of the town of Marana. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the zoning of the property particularly described on Exhibit A hereto is hereby changed from "Zone R-36" (Residential Single Family, minimum lot size of 36,000 S.f.) to "Zone HI" (High Industrial) upon the condition that the minimum lot size for this parcel shall remain 6 acres and any splitting of the property will require the submittal of a new development plan.
