HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 98-120 preliminary plat for ina/I-10MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 98-120 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING THE INA]I- 10 PRELIMINARY BLOCK PLAT SUBMITTED B Y INA/I- 10 L.L.C. IN CARE OF PEPPER-VINER COMPANY FOR A COMMERCIAL/LIGHT INDUSTRIAL SUBDIVISION CONSISTING OF BLOCKS 1-8 ON 35.07 ACRES LOCATED IN A PORTION OF THE SOUTH HALF OF SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST. WHEREAS, Pepper-Viner Company is the owner of approximately 35.07 acres located within the South Half of Section 36, Township 12 South, Range 12 East and consists of the resubdivision of Lots 17 through 25 of Clark's Cista de las Montanas and a portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36; and WHEREAS, the owner, has presented a preliminary block plat that lies on the west side of I-10 and north of Ina Road all within, and subject to, the requirements of the Marana General Plan which was previously approved by the Town of Marana and lies within the corporate boundaries of Marana, Arizona; and WHEREAS, the Ina/I-10 preliminary block plat lies within Zone "E" which is defined as a Transportation Corridor Zone per the Marana Development Code and the plat is for a commercial/light industrial substitution consisting of eight (8) blocks; and WHEREAS, the subdivision site was subject to a Significant Land Use Change (SLUC) process, which was approved on July 9, 1998, to permit uses for Blocks 1 through 5 to include manufactured home sales centers, restaurants, hotels, neighborhood convenience stores, retail, and office space as well as to permit uses for Blocks 6 through 8 to include manufactured home sales centers, offices, light manufacturing and warehousing; and WXdEREAS. the preliminary plat for the Ina/I- 10 preliminary block plat, as approved by the Marana Planning Commission on October 28, 1998 with no conditions and was forwarded to the Council with a unanimous recommendation for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, the Ina/I-10 preliminary block plat submitted by Ina/I-10 L.L.C. in care of Pepper-Viner Company for a commercial/light industrial subdivision consisting of blocks 1-8 on 35.07 acres located in a portion of the South Half of Section 36, Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
