HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 98-036 appointments to red hawk canyon CFD 1 and 2MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 98-36 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPOINTING JOHN SOPER AND MARSHA JOHNSON TO THE REDHAWK CANYON COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 1 AND NO. 2. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Amended and Restated Development Agreement and Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Marana and the RedHawk Canyon Community Facilities District (RedHawk Canyon CFD's) No. 1 and No. 2, the Developer [of the property] shall recommend candidates to fill any vacancy in the District Board; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of RedHawk Canyon CFD's No. 1 and No. 2 have accepted the resignations ofMarv Athey and Larry Schone, effective upon the appointment of their replacement directors; and WHEREAS, Larry Soper is a manager of apartment investments and a custom lot sales program at La Reserve, serves on the Pima County Board of Adjustment and is a qualified individual who has agreed to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Redhawk Canyon CFD's No. 1 and No. 2; and WHEREAS, Marsha Johnson is a Supervisor of Member Accounts for Trico Electric Cooperative and is a qualified individual who has agreed to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Redhawk Canyon CFD's No. 1 and No. 2; and WHEREAS, the Developers of the RedHawk Canyon CFD's No. 1 and No. 2, U.S. Home Corporation and Cottonwood Properties, have both consented to the appointment of Larry Soper and Marsha Johnson to the positions of District Board Member. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana hereby appoint Larry Soper and Marsha Johnson to the RedHawk Canyon Community Facilities District No. I and No. 2 to replace Larry Schone and Marv Athey, respectively.
