MARANA ORDINANCE NO. 98.03
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AMENDING THE MARANA
PERSONNEL POLICIES BY ADOPTING ARTICLE 03: "WORK SCHEDULES, SECTION 1,
NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION: FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENTS; ARTICLE 04,
WORKING CONDmONS, SECTION 1, SAFETY AND LOSS MANAGEMENT; DELETING
SECTION 2, JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND ADDING SECTION 2, PERSONAL APPEARANCE;
SECTION 3, ELECTRONIC MAIL, COMPUTER AND ON-LINE SERVICES USAGE;
SECTION 4, EMERGENCY CLOSINGS; SECTION 5, SECURITY INSPECTIONS; ARTICLE
6, RECORDS AND REPORTS, DELETING SECTIONS 1-4 AND ADDING SECTION 1,
PERSONNEL FILES; DELETING ARTICLE 9, TRAVEL AND PER DIEM AND
APPENDICES VII AND VIII, TRAVEL FORMS; AND DELETING APPENDIX VI, SAFETY
AND LOSS PREVENTION PROGRAM."
WHEREAS, the Town Council did, on the 19th day of December, 1989, adopt Marana Town
Ordinance No.' 89.32 revising the Marana Personnel Policies, and had amended the policies from time
to time; and
WHEREAS, those documents herein referred to as "MARANA PERSONNEL POLICIES,
ARTICLE 03: WORK SCHEDULES, SECTION 1, NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION:
FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENTS; ARTICLE 04: WORKING CONDIDONS, SAFETY
AND LOSS MANAGEMENT; SECTION 2, PERSONAL APPEARANCE; SECTION 3,
ELECTRONIC MAIL, COMPUTER AND ON-LINE SERVICES USAGE; SECTION 4,
EMERGENCY CLOSINGS; SECTION 5, SECURITY INSPECTIONS; ARTICLE 06,
RECORDS AND REPORTS, SECTION 1, PERSONNEL FILES" have been made a public record
by the adoption of Resolution No. 98-07 on February 3, 1998 by the Mayor and Council of the Town
of Maran a; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the adoption of that public record herein referred to
as "MARANA PERSONNEL POLICIES, ARTICLE 03: WORK SCHEDULES, SECTION 1,
NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION: FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENTS; ARTICLE 04:
WORKING CONDmONS, SAFETY AND LOSS MANAGEMENT; SECTION 2, PERSONAL
APPEARANCE; SECTION 3, ELECTRONIC MAIL, COMPUTER AND ON-LINE SERVICES
USAGE; SECTION 4, EMERGENCY CLOSINGS; SECTION 5, SECURITY INSPECTIONS;
ARTICLE 06, RECORDS AND REPORTS, SECTION 1, PERSONNEL FILES" is in the best
interests of the employees of the Town of Mar ana.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Maran a,
Arizona, as follows:
Section 1. Those documents entitled "MARANA PERSONNEL POLICIES, ARTICLE 03:
WORK SCHEDULES, SECTION 1, NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION: FLEXIBLE WORK
ARRANGEMENTS; ARTICLE 04: WORKING CONDITIONS, SAFETY AND LOSS
MANAGEMENT; SECTION 2, PERSONAL APPEARANCE; SECTION 3, ELECTRONIC
MAIL, COMPUTER AND ON-LINE SERVICES USAGE; SECTION 4, EMERGENCY
CLOSINGS; SECTION 5, SECURITY INSPECTIONS; ARTICLE 06, RECORDS AND
REPORTS, SECTION 1, PERSONNEL FILES," three copies of which are on file in the office of
the Town Clerk of the Town of Maran a, Arizona, said documents having been made a public record
by Resolution No. 98-07 of the Town of Maran a, Arizona, are hereby referred to and made a part
hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance and are hereby adopted and amend the Marana Personnel
Policies.
Section 2. ARTICLE 04, SECTION 2, JOB DESCRIPTIONS of the Marana Personnel Policies
is hereby deleted.
Section 3. ARTICLE 06, RECORDS AND REPORTS, SECTIONS 1-4, of the Marana
Personnel Policies is hereby deleted.
Section 4. ARTICLE 9, TRAVEL AND PER DIEM AND APPENDICES VII AND VIII,
TRAVEL FORMS AND APPENDIX VI AND APPENDIX VI, SAFETY AND LOSS
PREVENTION PROGRAM of the Marana Personnel Policies is hereby deleted.
Section 5. The various town officers and employees are authorized and directed to perform all
acts necessary or desirable to give effect to this ordinance.
Section 6. All Marana ordinances, resolutions, or motions and parts of ordinances, resolutions,
or motions of the council in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed,
effective as of the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 7. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for
any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent
jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof
