MARANA ORDINANCE NO. 96.42
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6910 NORTH
CAMINO MARTIN FROM "ZONE R-36" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, MINIMUM LOT
SIZE 36,000 SQUARE FEET) TO "ZONE HI" (REA VY INDUSTRY).
WHEREAS, Gary P. Devlin is the owner ofa parcel ofland located at 6910 North Camino
Martin which is south of the Ina Road and Camino Martin intersection in the northwest 1/4 of
Section 6, Township 13 south, Range 13 east, Assessor's Parcel Number 101-05-0130 from "Zone
R-36" (Single Family Residential, minimum lot 36,000 feet) to "Zone HI" (Heavy Industry); and
WHEREAS, the applicant, Lewis E. Johnson, has applied to the Town of Maran a to change
the zoning of this property from "Zone R-36" (Single Family Residential, minimum lot size 36,000
square feet) to "Zone HI" (Heavy Industry); and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission held a public hearing on the rezoning request
on September 25, 1996 and following this public hearing voted that the Town Council approve, with
conditions, the request for rezoning of the property located at 6910 North Camino Martin from
"Zone R-36" (Single Family Residential, minimum lot size 36,000 square feet) to "Zone HI" (Heavy
Industry); and

WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Maran a held a public hearing on the rezoning
request on December 3, 1996, to obtain public input on the request for a change of zoning, and heard
from staff and the representative of the owner, and has determined that the rezoning request should
be approved, with conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona that:
Section 1. The zoning of that certain property located at 6910 North Camino Martin,
approximately 9.50 acres and more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby
changed from "Zone R-36" (Single Family Residential, minimum lot size 36,000 square feet) to
"Zone HI" (Heavy Industry) subject to the following conditions:
1. That the developer submit detail in the parking layout, in conjunction with the Title
22 standards of the Development Code, prior to Development Plan Review approval.
Section 2. All Marana ordinances, resolutions, or motions and parts of ordinances, resolutions,
or motions of the council in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed,
effective as of the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 3. Ifany section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for
- any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent
jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof
