O0 ORDINANCE 91.08 MOM AND POP WEST AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING INTO THE TOWN OF M3%RANA AND APPROVING TRANSLATIONAL ZONING WHEREAS the owners of at least one half of the assessed value of the real and personal properties in the area described below and more than one half of the real property owners therein have presented a petition to the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona requesting annexation to the Town of Mararia, and WHEREAS said area is contiguous to the Town limits of the Town of Marana; and WHEREAS the requirements of A.R.S. Section 9-471 et seq. have been met; and WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona considers it beneficial to the people of the Town of Marana and of the area to be annexed to extend the limits of the Town by such annexation; and WHEREAS A.R.S. Section 9-471 (L) requires the Town to adopt zoning as close as possible to the pre-existing County Zoning; and WHEREAS the Town has determined that zone "E" for the fol- lowing property permits densities and uses no greater than those permitted by Pima County immediately prior to the annexation of the following property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona as follows: All those portions of Section 26 and 35 and a portion of Section 25, TllS, R 11 E, Gila and Salt River Meridian, Pima County, Arizona, not currently included within the Town limits of Marana, BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Section 25, TllS, RllE, Gila and Salt River Meridian and preceeding; THENCE along the north line of said Section 25 N 89° 33'18" E 200.00 feet; THENCE leaving said section line and proceeding parallel to the west line of said Section 25, S 00° 15'00" E. 2,640.53 feet to a point on the east-west mid-section line of said section; THENCE continuing parallel to the west line of said section S 00 15'00" E 200.00 feet; THENCE along said west line S 00° 15'00" E. 2,219.29 feet to a point on the northeasterly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, from which the southwest corner of said Section 25 bears S 00 o 15'00" E 220.66 feet; THENCE along said right-of-way line S 49 o 37'00" E 339.30 feet to a point on the south line of said Section 25; THENCE along said south line S 89° 49'00" W 257.50 feet to the southwest corner of said Section 25 and the northeast corner of Section 35; THENCE along the east line of said Section 35 S 00° 15'00" E 504.08 feet to a point on the southwesterly right-of-way line of the 1-10 Freeway; THENCE along said right-of-way line N 49° 37'00" W to a point on the north line of said Section 35 and the south line of Section 26, from which the common section corner bears N 89© 49'00" E 591.06 feet; THENCE continuing along said right-of-way line N 49© 37'00" W 4,025.22 feet to a point on the east-west mid-section line of said Section 26; THENCE along said mid-section line N 89© 43'15" E 844.05 feet to a point on the northeasterly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad; THENCE along said right-of-way line S 49© 37'00" E 3,650.25 feet to a point 30.00 feet westerly from the east line of said Section 26; THENCE along a line, 30 feet west from said section line, and parallel thereto, N 00° 15'00" W 2,393.53 feet to a point on the east-west mid-section line of said section 26; THENCE along said mid-section line N 89° 43'15" E 30.00 feet to the east quarter-corner of said section; THENCE along the east line of said section N 00© 15'00" W 2,639.95 feet to the northeast corner of Section 26 and the POINT OF BEGINNING; Containing 68.95 acres, more or less Be annexed to the Town of Marana. 9017 602 % BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Marana that the above annexed area be given the zoning designa- tion of Zone "E" in accordance with the Town Development Code which incorporates the Town Zoning Ordinance.
