HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 89.30 Adding section 01.04 to the land development code relating to uniform codesORDINANCE NO. 89. 30 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA AMENDING THE TOWN DEVELOPMENT CODE AS ADOPTED PURSUA~Ff TO ORDINANCE NO. 84.04 BY ADDING SECTION 01.04 WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona did, on the 14th day of May, 1984, adopt a Development Code for the Town of Marana pursuant to Ordinance No. 84.04; and WHEREAS there are numerous references throughout the Town Development Code to the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, National Electric Code and Uniform Fire Code, specifying the editions thereof, some of which editions have since been superseded by more recent editions of the foregoing Codes; and WHEREAS the Town Council does wish to incorporate into its Development Code the most recent editions at all times of the Mechanical, Electrical and Fire various Building, Plumbing, Codes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE the Town of Marana, Arizona hereby amended by adding follows: IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of that the Town Development Code is Section 01.04 thereto, to read as "01.04. Reference to National or Uniform Codes. Whenever reference is made in this Code to the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, National Electric Code and Uniform Fire Code, the edition of that specific Code to be utilized in the enforcement of this Development Code shall be the most recent edition of that Code. Upon the adoption of any new editions or revisions in the foregoing Codes, the Building Official shall order not less than three (3) copies of that new edition or revision, which copies shall be maintained in the office of the Town Clerk for public inspection at all times. Any new editions or revisions to the foregoing Codes shall become effective and incorporated into this Development Code ten (10) days after three (3) copies of said new editions/revisions are received by the Town Clerk." W~EREAS the immediate operation of this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the Town of Marana, Arizona, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption.
