ESTABLISHING ZONING ON ANNEXED PROPERTY
WHEREAS, on August 19, 1987, the Marana Town Council adopted
Ordinance 87.13 annexing into the Town of Marana certain real
property, including that real property more particularly
described as: the North West quarter of the North West quarter of
Section 11, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, G & S R B & M, Pima
County, Arizona; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. 9-471 (D), the annexation of
the real property described above ("The Naranja Property") became
effective on September 19, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the property described above have
petitioned the Planning Commission and Town Council to provide
zoning on the property; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held on said request, and
the nearby property owners were notified of the zoning request in
accordance with the provisions of the Town Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the Town of Marana,
after a public hearing, has recommended approval of the zoning
request as submitted by the property owners; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council desires to maintain
its proper role in shaping future development within its existing
Town boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has determined that
the proposed zoning submitted is desirable for the continued
development of the Town of Marana; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the property described above be given the
zoning designation of "B" in accordance with the Town Development
Code which incorporates the Town Zoning Ordinance.
PASSED ANDADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona this 19th day of July, 1988.
