CANDIDATE AT THE NON-PARTISAN PRIMARY: AND DECLARING AN
~ERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNC[L OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
County of Pima, State of Arizona, as follows:
Section 1. Nonpartisan Election
That the Primary Election shall be nonpartisan and nothing
on the ballot in any election shall be indicative of the support
of the candidate or candidates,
Further, that any candidate who shall receive at the
Primary Election a majority of all of the votes cast, shall be
declared to be elected to the office for which he is a candidate,
effective as of the date of the General Election, and no further
election shall be held as to said candidate.
Section 2. Declaring an Emergency
WHEREAS, the immediate operation ~f the provisions of this
ordinanc~ is necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety of the Town of Marana, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist; and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, adoption and approval by
the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Tow~ Council of the Town of
