AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF MARANA, ARIZONA ESTABLISHING PRIMA FACIE
REASONABLE SPEED LIMIT FOR MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE TOWN OF MARANA.
Whereas, the Common Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona has the authority
under Title 28 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, more specifically Section 28-627
as Amended, 28-701 and 28-703 as Amended, to fix Prima Facie reasonable speed limits
on through highways in Marana, Arizona and, Now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BT THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That 50 MPH be hereby established as reasonable and safe Prima Facie
speed limit for Trico Marana Road.
Section 2: That 25 MPH be hereby established as reasdnable and safe Prima Facie
speed limit for San Dario Road from Trico Marana to Barnett Road. From Barnett
Road to Moore Road 40 MPH.
Section 3: That 35 MPH be hereby established a reasonable and safe Prima Facie
speed limit for Sanders Road from Trico Marana to Santa Cruz River. From Santa
Cruz to Avra V~ley Road 45 MPH.
Section 4: That 25 MPH be hereby established a reasonable and safe Prima Facie
speed limit for Grier Road from Interstate 10 Frontage Road to San Dario Road,
and from San Dario to Sanders Road. From Sanders Road to Avra Road 40 MPH.
Section 5: That 35 MPH be hereby established as reasonable and safe Prima Facie
speed limit for Moore Road from Interstate 10 Frontage Road to Sanders Road.
Section 6: That 35 MPH be hereby established as reasonable an safe Prima Facie speed
limit for Avra Road from Hardin Road to Trico Marana Road from Trico Marana to
Grief Road 45 MPH.
Section 7: That 25 MPH be hereby established as reasonable and safe Prima Facie
speed limit for all residential streets in (A) Berry Acres, (B) Hones Heights,
(C) Marana Estates, (D) Project Area.
This Ordinance shall take effect when and to the extent that signs are posted
on the Highway herein listed giving notice of Prima Facie reasonable speed limit.
That violations of this Ordinance shall be a misdemeanor as stated in the
Arizona Revised Statues Section 28-1031.
