HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-060 final plat for continental reserve block 1 and a portion of block 7MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-60 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, AR/Z, ONA, APPROVING A FINAL PLAT ON 26.45 ACRES, LOCATED WITHIN THE P/MA FARMS SPEC]3'IC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 61-LOT SINGLE-FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDIVISION, WITHIN A PORTION OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE WEST SIDE OF CONTINENTAL RESERVE LOOP ROAD AND NORTH OF PIMA FARMS ROAD. WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19 approving the Final Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and WHEREAS, Diamond Ventures,/nc., is the owner of approximately 26.45 acres within the Continental Reserve boundary, Block 1 and a portion of Block 7, generally located in a portion of Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, and has authorized Stantec Consulting, Inc., to apply to the Town of Marana for approval cfa Final Plat for 61 single-family detached home lots on 26.45 acres, including lots 1 through 61 and common areas "A" through "J and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission considered the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block I & a portion of Block 7 at the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held April 24, 2001 and unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Continental Reserve Block 1 & a portion of Block 7 Final Plat to the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has considered the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 1 & a portion of Block 7 at the regular Town Council meeting held May 21, 2002 and has determined that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 1 & a portion of Block 7 should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 1 & a portion of Block 7, submitted by Stantec Consulting, Inc., for a 61-1or subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve, west of Continental Reserve Loop Road and north of Pima Farms Road, in a portion of Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
