HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-061 preliminary plat for sonoran moonMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-61 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING A PRELIMINARY PLAT ON 7.57 ACRES, LOCATED WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL RANCH SPECIFIC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 37-LOT SINGLE-FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDIVISION, WITHIN A PORTION OF SECTION 21, TOW2gSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND COACHLINE BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the specific plan for the area known as Continental Ranch on April 5, 1988 (Ordinance 88.09), located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona and has amended the Specific Plan from time to time; and WHEREAS, Pulte Home Corporation, is the owner of approximately 7.57 acres within Parcel 24 of the Continental Ranch Specific Plan, generally located in a port/on of Section 21, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, and has authorized MMLA, Inc., to apply to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 37 single-family detached home lots on 7.57 acres, including lots I through 37 and common area A , and more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference (Exhibit "A' ); and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held April 24, 2002, and unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Sonoran Moon Preliminary Plat to the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held May 7, 2002, and has determined that the Preliminary Plat for Sonoran Moon, should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Preliminary Plat for Sonoran Moon, submitted by MMLA, Inc., for a 37-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of the Continental Ranch Specific Plan, on the southwest comer of Twin Peaks Road and Coachline Boulevard, in a portion of Section 21, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, is hereby approved.
