MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-79
A RES OLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING THE NORTHWEST FIRE DISTRICT CNWFD") TO ANNEX AN AREA
OF LAND WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, KNOWN
AS THE GALLERY, PARCEL 4B, TAX PARCEL 218-37-003K IN ORDER TO ALLOW
NWFD TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES FOR TOWN RESIDENTS.
WHEREAS, NWFD requires the Town's approval pursuant to A.R.S. § 48-262(F) to
proceed with the annexation of property within the Town's corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, N-WFD is seeking approval fi.om the Town to annex property within the
own s corporate lzm~ts known as The Gallery, Parcel 4B, more particularly described on the legal
description and map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town to grant approval to the NWFD, pursuant
to A.R.S. § 48-262(F), for the health, safety and welfare of the Town residents of the area known
as The Gallery, Parcel 4B.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Co~mcil of the Town of Marana,
Arizona, that the Town grant author~ation and endorse the a-rmexation of the area within its
corporate limits known as The Gallery, Parcel 4B, as described on Exhibit A, into the NWFD,
pursuant to A.R.S. § 48-262(F), in order to allow NWFD to proceed with annexation and provide
f~re protection services to the Town residents residing therein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Cotmcil of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this 16th
day of July, 2002.
