A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT FOR SILVERBELL PLACE SUBMITTED BY
D.R. HORTON, INC. FOR A 153-LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME
SUBDIVISION ON 39.45 ACRES LOCATED WEST OF SILVERBELL ROAD BETWEEN
CORTARO ROAD AND INA ROAD IN A PORTION OF THE W¥2 OF SECTION 35,
TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the zoning on this property on
November 16, 1999 (Ordinance 99.26) located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of
Marana, Arizona; and
WHEREAS, D.R. Horton, Inc. is the owner of the property located west of Silverbell
Road between Cortaro Road and Ina Road, particularly within a portion of Section 35, Township
12 South, Range 12 East and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a final plat for
153 single family detached home lots on 39.45 acres, including lots 1-153, common areas "A"
and "B', and Blocks A and B; and
the final plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on January
WHEREAS, that the Town Council approve the
31,2001, and the Planning Commission recommended 7-0
final plat with one condition; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner,
staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held February 20, 2001,
and has determined that the Silverbell Place final plat submitted by D.R. Horton, Inc. should be
approved, with one condition·
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona authorizing that the final plat for 153 single family detached home lots on 39.45
acres of property located within a portion of the W½ of Section 35, Township 12 South, Range
12 East be approved.
