HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001-068 increasing the town's ultimate boundaries through annexation MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2001-68 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, RECOMMENDING THE APPROVAL OF INCREASING THE TOWN'S ULTIMATE BOUNDARIES THROUGH ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-471, the Town Council of the Town of Marana is empowered to recommend approval or disapproval permitting staff to increase the Town's boundaries through annexation; and WHEREAS, the recommended ultimate boundaries include certain State of Arizom/and within various Sections in Townships 11 and 12 South, Ranges 11, 12 and 13, Gila and Salt River Meridian~ WHEREAS, the Town desires to give clarity to its objectives in future annexations which will extending the Town' s boundaries and WHEREAS, the Town desires to square offits boundaries to provide more recognizable Town lin-sits and increased efficiency in the delivery of services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the town of Mararm, Arizona, that the Town gives its approval for Town staff to initiate annexations within the areas designated by the accompanying map.
