A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR CONTINENTAL RESERVE, BLOCK
13, CONSISTING OF A 76-ACRE SINGLE FAMiLY RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION
LOCATED WITHIN CONTINENTAL RESERVE, SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP i2 SOUTH,
RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving
the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19
approving the Final Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and
WHEREAS, Diamond Ventures is the owner of approximately 21.39 acres within the
Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12
East and has authorized The Genessee Company to apply to the Town of Marana for approval of
a preliminary plat for 76 single family detached home lots on 21.39 acres, including lots 1
through 76 and common areas "A" through 'T'; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission heard from the
representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Planning and
Zoning Commission meeting held August 22, 2001 and unanimously voted to recommend
approval of the Continental Reserve Block 13 Preliminary Plat to the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner,
staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held September 18, 2001
and has determined that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 13 should be
approved subject to the condition listed below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 13, submitted by The
Genessee Company for a 76-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve,
north of Continental Loop Road and west of Artesiano Road, in Section 28, Township 12 South,
Range 12 East is hereby approved subject to the following condition:
Provide a Plat Note stating "Buyers of lots located adjacent to the E1 Paso Natural Gas
Line will be notified of the existence of the gas line".

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this 18th
day of September 2001.
