A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE TOWN TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH ARNOLD PAUL AND VIRGLYN I. SAMUELSON TO PURCHASE TWO 1-ACRE LOTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES BY THE TOWN OF MARANA HOME PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana desires to engage in housing and community development activities as authorized under the Town of Marana HOME Program regulations; and WHEREAS, Arnold Paul and Virglyn I. Samuelson own, and desire to sell, two lots located on Price Lane, idemified as Pima CounW Assessor Parcels #2172t016B, and #21721016D; WHEREAS, the Town of Marana desires to purchase the lots and build houses to be sold to low to moderate income residents through the Town's First-Time Homebuyers Program; and WHEREAS, the continuation of the HOME Program would greatly benefit the residents of the Totem of Marana and would he in the Town's best interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Ma.vor is authorized to execute the Sale Agreement between the Town of Marana and Arnold Paul and Virglyn I. Samuelson for the purchase oftbe lots; the expenditure of the purchase price and all closing costs as identified in the Agreement are hereby approved, and Town staff is authorized to execute all closing documents and take all steps necessary and proper to effectuate the purchase.
