A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
MARANA, ARIZONA, ESTABLISHING COUNCIL STANDING ADVISORY
COMMITTEES AND THE APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL MEMBERS TO
THOSE COMMITTEES AND RESCINDING PRIOR RESOLUTIONS
ESTABLISHING COUNCIL STANDING AND ADVISORY COMMITTEES.
WHEREAS, from time to time various committees have been established
to address specific issues relating to the growth and development of the Town of
Marana; and
WHEREAS, some committees have been created through formal
resolution and some have not; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council believes that it is in the best
interests of the community to establish all Council advisory committees and the
appointment of Council Members to those committees by formal resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the
Town of Marana, Arizona, that the following standing committees are
established pursuant to Marana Town Code Section 2-6 as Council advisory
committees:
1. Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
2. Municipal Property Corporation
3. Local Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Board
4. Water Utility Advisory Committee
5. Airport Advisory Committee
6. Business Advisory Committee
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the following Council Members are appointed to serve on
the following committees concurrently with their Council terms, and their term
of office in such committees shall be until resignation, removal from office or
expiration of their term of office, or removal by vote of the Town Council:

Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee: Ed Honea, Patti
Comerford, Tim Escobedo
Municipal Property Corporation: Herb Kai, Jim Blake, Carol
McGorray
Local Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Board: Jim
Blake, Tim Escobedo
Water Utility Advisory Committee: Herb Kai, Ed Honea, Jim
Blake
Airport Advisory Committee: Herb Kai, Jim Blake, Carol
McGorray
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, that all resolutions creating any of the above-named advisory
committees are hereby rescinded, and this resolution shall have the effect
creating those committees. All policies and procedures that are currently in
place for the administration of those committees, however, shall remain in effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, this 18th day of September, 2001.
