A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING THE NORTHWEST FIRE DISTRICT CNWFD") TO ANNEX AN AREA OF
LAND WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, KNOWN AS
"CANYON PASS" IN ORDER TO ALLOW NWFD TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION
SERVICES FOR TOWN RESIDENTS.
WHEREAS, NWFD requires the Town's approval pursuant to A.R.S. § 48-262(F) to
proceed with the annexation of property within the Town's corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, NWFD is seeking approval from the Town to annex property within the
Town's corporate limits known as Canyon Pass, more particularly described on the legal
description and map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town to grant approval to the NWFD, pursuant
to A.R.S. § 48-262(F), for the health, safety and welfare of the Town residents of the area known
as Canyon Pass.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the Town grant authorization and endorse the annexation of the area within
its corporate limits known as Canyon Pass, as described on Exhibit A, into the NWFD, pursuant
to A.R.S. § 48-262(F), in order to allow NWFD to proceed with annexation and provide fire
protection services to the Town residems residing therein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this
