A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE CANCION DE LA LUNA FINAL PLAT SUBMITTED BY
PULTE HOMES, CONSISTING OF AN 88-LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME
SUBDIVISION ON 23.33 ACRES WITHIN CONTINENTAL RANCH ON PARCEL 42
LOCATED ON COACHLINE BOULEVARD NORTHWEST OF DRAINAGEWAY #2 IN A
PORTION OF SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the specific plan for the area
known as Continental Ranch on April 5, 1988 (Ordinance 88.09), located within the corporate
boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and
WHEREAS, Pulte Homes is the owner of the property located on Coachline Boulevard
northwest of Drainageway #2, more particularly within a portion of Section 16, Township 12
South, Range 12 East, known as Parcel 42 of the Continental Ranch Specific Plan, and has
applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 88 single family detached
home lots on 23.33 acres, including lots 1-88 and common areas "A" through "C" and more
particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference
(Exhibit "A'); and
WHEREAS, the final plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on
September 26, 2001, and the P/anning Commission recommended 4-0 that the Town Council
approve the final plat; and
WHEREAS, the final plat has been placed on the Consent Agenda for action by the
Marana Town Council at the regular Town Council meeting held October 16, 2001, and has
determined that the Cancion De La Luna at Continental Ranch final plat submitted by Pulte
Homes is in the best interest of the Town and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the final plat for 88 single family detached home lots on 23.33 acres of
~r;perty known as Continental Ranch Parcel 42 located within a portion of Section 16, Township
South, Range 12 East be approved upon the following condition:
1. The site having all-weather vehicular access prior to the model homes being open to the
public.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 16th day of October, 2001.
