A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
WAIVING PERMiT FEES FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE MARANA HEALTH CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Marana Health Center is a non-profit corporation which provides health
services to the residents of the Town of Marana; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Health Center has applied for a four hundred thousand
($400,000.00) dollar Capital Improvement Grant to finance needed expansion and renovation of its
facilities, which would require payment of approximately five thousand three hundred eighty~three
($5,383.00) dollars of permit fees; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Grant requires matching funds in currency or in-kind
contributions, and waiving the permit fees would be considered as an in-kind contribution toward
matching funds; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council heard fi.om a representative of the Marana Health
Center, Town staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held November
6, 2001, and has determined that waiving the permit fees would be in the best interest of the residents
of the Town of Marana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES OLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana
that permit fees required for the expansion and renovation of the Marana Health Center be waived.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this
6th day of November, 2001.
