HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001-159 preliminary plat for continental reserve block 8 MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2001-159 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING A pRELIMINARY PLAT ON 23.01 ACRES, LOCATED WITHIN THE PIMA FARMS SPECIFIC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 97-LOT SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE WEST SIDE OF CONTINENTAL LOOP ROAD AND SOUTH OF PIMA FARMS ROAD. WHEREAS, on May 30*, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19 approving the Final Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and WHEREAS, Diamond Ventures, Inc. is the owner of approximately 23.01 acres within the Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 97 single family detached home lots on 23.01 acres, including lots 1 through 97 and common areas "A" through "K"; and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held November 7, 2001 and unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Continental Reserve Block 8 Preliminary Plat to the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held December 18, 2001 and has determined that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 8 should be approved subject to the condition listed below. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 8, submitted by Diamond Ventures, Inc. for a 97-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental serve west of Continental Loop Road and south of Pima Farms Road, in Section 28, TRgwns~p 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved subject to the following condition: Marana Rezolution No. 2001-159 Page 1 of 2 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this 18th day of December, 2001. ~ON JR.
