A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, EXTENDING THE TIME FOR THE COMPLETION OF A STUDY AND THE
FORMATION OF A ZONING OVERLAY DISTRICT FOR THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
WITHIN CONTINENTAL RANCH, IN THE AREA ALONG SILVERBELL ROAD BETWEEN
DRAINAGEWAY NO. 10 AND TWIN PEAKS BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, on July 3, 2001, the Town Council approved Resolution 2001-80, which
suspended commercial development along Silverbell Road between Drainageway Number 10 and
Twin Peaks Boulevard for a period of six months or until January 3, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Planning staffhas asked for an additional 90 days to complete the study and
form the commercial overlay district in order to receive further input bom the public advisory and
neighborhood committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the suspension of commercial development along Silverbell Road between
Drainageway Number 10 and Twin Peaks Boulevard continue for an additional 90 days, or unt~ April
1, 2002, to permit staff time to receive further public input regarding the development needs of the
area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this
