A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR COPPER MOON SUBMITTED
BY PULTE HOMES WITHIN CONTINENTAL RANCH, WHICH IS A 144-LOT SINGLE
FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDIVISION ON 37.03 ACRES LOCATED WITHIN
PARCEL 19 EAST OF SILVERBELL ROAD BETWEEN TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND
COACHLINE BOULEVARD IN A PORTION OF SECTIONS 20 AND 21, TOWNSHIP 12
SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the Specific Plan for the area
known as Continental Ranch on April 5, 1988 (Ordinance 88.09), located within the corporate
boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and
WHEREAS, Pulte Homes is the owner of the property located east of Silverbell Road
between Twin Peaks Road and Coachline Boulevard, more particularly within a portion of
Sections 20 and 21, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, known as Parcel 19 of the Continental
Ranch Specific Plan and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for
144 single family detached home lots on 37.03 acres, including lots 1-144 and common areas
"A" through "D"; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on
January 26, 2000, and the Planning Commission recommended 6-1 that the Town Council
approve the preliminary plat; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner,
staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held March 7, 2000, and
has determined that the Copper Moon preliminary plat submitted by Pulte Homes should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, authorizing that the preliminary plat for 144 single family detached home lots
on 37.03 acres of property known as Continental Ranch Parcel 19 located within a portion of
Sections 20 and 21, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, be approved upon the following
condition:
1. Written verification that US Fish and Wildlife has no objection to this development prior to
the issuance of any grading permits.

Review of the developed open space recreation facilities by the Parks and Recreation
Director, the Town Manager and the Planning and Zoning Commission with the Final Plat
review.
