HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-055 development plan for comcast expansionMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-55 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, APPROVING THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE COMCAST EXPANSION WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL RANCH BUSINESS PARK SUBMITTED BY THE WLB GROUP, INC. LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PAVILIONS DRIVE AND HOSPITALITY ROAD IN A PORTION OF THE WEST HALF OF SECTION 26, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the specific plan for the area known as Continental Ranch on April 5, 1988 (Ordinance 88.09), located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and WHEREAS, Jones Communications of Arizona, Inc. Colorado Corporation, d.b.a. Comcast Real Estate Holdings, Inc. is the owner of 2.73 acres of property located at the northeast comer of Pavilions Drive and Hospitality Road and specifically in a portion of the west half of Section 26, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of the development plan for the Comcast Expansion within the Continental Ranch Business Park; and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission considered the request to approve the development plan on April 26, 2000, and voted 5-0 to recommend that the Town Council approve the development plan; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held May 16, 2000, and has determined that the development plan submitted by the WLB Group, for the Comcast Expansion on a 2.73 acre parcel within the Continental Ranch Business Park should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona authorizing that the development plan for the Comcast Expansion submitted by the WLB Group, located at the northeast comer of Pavilions Drive and Hospitality Road and more particularly described in Exhibit A, be approved.
