HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-066 declaring the parks system master plan element of the general plan a public recordMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-66 A RESOLUTION Of THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, DECLARING THE PARKS SYSTEM MASTER PLAN ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO BE A PUBLIC RECORD AND DECLARING AND ADOPTING A PARKS SYSTEM MASTER PLAN AS AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, the Town CounCil of the Town of Marana, Arizona, received a draft of the proposed Park System Master Plan Element of the General Plan which provides a framework for park acquisition and development within the Town's General Plan boundary through the year 2020; WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing and voted to recommend that the Town Council grant the various amendments to the Town of Marana General Plan; WHEREAS, the proposed Park System Master Plan Element of the General Plan has previously been presented to and considered by the Town Council; WHEREAS, the Town's planning consultant has provided minor clarifications as requested by the Town Council relating to certain aspects of this document which are included in the staff report; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, after a public hearing conducted on this date, have determined that approving the proposed Park System Master Plan Element of the General Plan with the clarifications presented in the staff report and by the Town's consultant is in the best interest of the residents of Marana. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, as follows: Section 1: Declaring the Park System Master Plan Element of the General Plan to be a public record, three copies of which are to be kept on file at the office of the Town Clerk. Section 2: The proposed Park System Master Plan Element of the General Plan be adopted with the clarifications as presented in the staff report and by the Town's consultant. Section 3: All ordinances, resolutions, or motions and parts of ordinances, resolutions, or motions of the Council in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed, effective as of the effective date of this Resolution. --Page 1 of 1-- Section 4: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Resolution is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof.
