HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-077 substitute assurances for cortaro ranchMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-77 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SUBSTITUTE ASSURANCES FOR LOTS 293-297 OF CORTARO RANCH, AS RECORDED IN BOOK 51 AT PAGE 6 OF MAPS AND PLATS WHEREAS, the Town of Marana desires to ensure that major roadway improvements are developed in an orderly fashion on thd Town's arterial street network; and WHEREAS, the developer of Cortaro Ranch has an obligation to satisfy conditions of zoning relating to the provision of major roadway improvements; and WHEREAS, the Town and the developer of Cortaro Ranch will jointly benefit from the development of the Cortaro Farms Road widening project; and WHEREAS, the Town and the developer of Cortaro Ranch will jointly benefit from the release of the commercial lots within the Cortaro Ranch project, enabling the further development of businesses within the Town; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of the Town of Marana to improve the capacity of the Town's existing arterial roads through development of additional travel lanes and traffic control devices thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Substitution of a Performance Bond in the Amount of $215,570 for the assurances associated with Lots 293-297 of Cortaro Ranch (BK 51, Pg 6) is accepted, and the Town Engineer is authorized to execute a Partial Release of Assurances for the subject lots.
