OF PAGES: 2 SEQUENCE: 20001510278 08/04/2000 RES 13:19 MRIL 2~0UNT PAID $ 8.00 MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT SUBMITTED BY DEL WEBB'S HOME CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR CONTINENTAL RANCH PARCEL 30, SUNFLOWER PHASE VII, WHICH IS A 115-LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDIVISION ON 24.69 ACRES LOCATED NORTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND SILVERBELL ROAD IN A PORTION OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the specific plan for the area known as Continental Ranch on April 5, 1988 (Ordinance 88.09), located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and WHEREAS, Del Webb's Home Construction, Inc. is the owner of the property located northeast of the intersection of Twin Peaks Road and Silverbell Road, more particularly within a portion of Section 21, Township 12 South, Range 12 East known as Parcel 30 of the Continental Ranch Specific Plan and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 115 single family detached home lots on 24.69 acres which represents the seventh phase of a 844-1ot single family subdivision, including lots 730-844 and common areas "BB-BB" through "LL-LL"; and WHEREAS, the preliminary plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on May 31, 2000, and the Planning Commission recommended 6-1 that the Town Council approve the preliminary plat; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held August 1, 2000, and has determined that the Sunflower Phase VI/preliminary plat submitted by Del Webb's Home Construction, Inc. should be approved with conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona authorizing that the preliminary plat for 115 single family detached home lots on 24.69 acres of property known as Continental Ranch Parcel 30 located within a portion of Section 21, Township 12 South, Range 12 East be approved upon the following conditions: 1. Final approval by the Planning Director of minor technical revisions and notations; and 2. Receipt of an executed agreement between Cortaro-Marana Irrigation District and Del Webb concerning the disposition of CMID" ownership interest in lots 781-183 and a portion of Desert Mist Lane prior to the issuance of a grading permit.
