A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT FOR CANYON PASS PHASE [[I, SUBMITTED
BY COTTONWOOD PROPERTIES, FOR A 71-LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME
SUBDIVISION ON 211.61 ACRES LOCATED IN THE DOVE MOUNTAIN SPECIFIC PLAN
AREA EAST OF DOVE MOUNTAIN BOULEVARD IN PORTIONS OF SECTIONS 7, 8, 17,
AND 18, TOWNSHIP 11 SOUTH, RANGE 13 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council approved the RedHawk Specific Plan for the area
now known as Dove Mountain pursuant to Ordinance 89.22 on May 31, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Cottonwood Properties is the owner of approximately 211.61 acres located
east of Dove Mountain Boulevard, adjacent to the Canyon Pass Phase II custom home
subdivision in a portion of Sections 7, 8, 17, and 18, Township I 1 South, Range 13 East, and has
applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a Final Plat for that property which consists of a
71-lot single family detached home subdivision, including lots 111 through 181, Common Area
"A" (private streets) and Common Area "B" (natural open space); and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the
owners, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held August 15,
2000, and has determined that the f'mal plat for Canyon Pass Phase 111 should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the Canyon Pass Phase llI Final Plat, submitted by Cottonwood Properties
for a 7 l-lot single family detached home subdivision on 211 acres located east of Dove Mountain
Boulevard in a portion of Sections 7, 8, 17, and 18, Township I 1 South, Range 13 East, is hereby
approved.
