HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-131 preliminary plat for silverbell westMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2000-131 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR SILVERBELL WEST SUBMITTED BY DCK INVESTMENTS, INC., FOR A 33-LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDIVISION ON 74.81 ACRES LOCATED WEST OF SILVERBELL BETWEEN CORTARO ROAD AND INA ROAD IN A PORTION OF SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST. WI~EREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the zoning on this property on November 16, 1999 (Ordinance 99.26) located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and WHEREAS, DCK Investments, Inc., is the owner of the property located on the northwest comer of Silverbell Road and Ina Road, particularly within a portion of Section 35, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 33 single family detached home lots on 74.81 acres, including lots 1-33 and common areas "A" and "B"; and WHEREAS, the preliminary plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on November 15, 2000, and the Planning Commission recommended 5-0 that the Town Council approve the preliminary plat with conditions; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held December 19, 2000, and has determined that the Silverbell West preliminary plat submitted by DCK Investments, Inc. should be approved, with conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, authorizing that the preliminary plat for 33 single family detached home lots on 74.81 acres of property located within a portion of the SWl/4 of Section 35, Township 12 South, Range I2 East, approved subject to the following conditions: 1. Final approval of the water service agreement prior to the f'mal plat being considered for approval by the Town Council. 2. Approval by the Parks and Recreation Director of the on- and off-site recreation prior to the final plat being considered for approval by the Town Council. 3. In accordance with the rezoning conditions, the developer shall enter in to a Development Agreement with the Town addressing phasing, off-site roadway and drainage improvements, and contribute to the signalization of Silverbell and Ina Roads prior to the final plat being considered for approval by the Town Council. 4. Approval of an archaeological mitigation plan by the Arizona State Museum prior to the issuance of grading permits.
