A RES OLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
DESIGNATING THE ELECTION DATE AND PURPOSE OF ELECTION AND DESIGNATING
THE DEADLINE FOR VOTER REGISTRATION.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana,
Arizona as follows:
Section 1. Designation of Election Date; Purpose
That September 8, 1998 has been set as the time for holding the Special Election in
the Town of Marana for the purpose of presenting the following propositions to the
voters:
Direct Election of Mayor
Countryside Vista 5 and 6 Referendum (Ordinance No. 97-25)
Tangerine/Thomydale Referendum (Ordinance No. 97.24)
Section 2. Designating Deadline for Voter Registration
Pima Cotmty registration and voting lists will be used for the municipal election. In
order to be qualified to vote, a voter must be registered by August 10, 1998.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, this
19th day of May, 1998.
