HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 97-031 intent to cancel joint use of pool with pima countyMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 97-31 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, NOTIFYING PIMA COUNTY OF THE TOWN'S INTENTION TO CANCEL THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH PIMA COUNTY FOR THE JOINT USE OF THE MARANA PUBLIC POOL. WHEREAS, Pima County and the Town of Marana entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement for the joint use, maintenance, and management of the Marana Public Pool on September 19, 1995, recorded in the Office of the Pima County Recorder at docket 10135, pages 532 through 541; and WHEREAS, the Town of Marana has determined that the continuation of the Intergovernmental Agreement with Pima County is no longer advantageous to the residents of the Town of Marana: and WHEREAS, section 6.1 of the Intergovernmental Agreement allows either party to cancel the Intergovernmental Agreement by giving ninety (90) days prior written notice of termination. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana that this Resolution shall serve as official notice of the Town's intention to terminate the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Marana and Pima County for the joint use, maintenance, and management of the Mararia Public Pool effective ninety (90) days fro the date of this Resolution. 15a day of April, 1997.
