A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF NLARANA, ARIZONA,
APPROVING THE CONTI]X[ENTAL RANCH ACTIVE ADULT COMMUNITY CENTER
PRELIMINARY PLAT SUBMITTED BY DEL WEBB'S COVENTRY HOMES OF TUCSON
FOR 141 SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED AND ATTACHED HOME LOTS ON 35.08 ACRES
LOCATED AT THE NORTHVv~ST CORNER OF COACHLINE BOULEVARD AND TWIN
PEAKS ROAD AND MORE PARTICULARLY WITHFIg A PORTION OF TIq~ NORTHEAST
1/4 OF SECTION 20 AND THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHI? 12 SOUTH,
RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana has previously approved the specific plan for the area
known as Continental Ranch, located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana,
Arizona; and
WHEREAS, Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson is the owner of property located at the
northwest comer of Coachline Boulevard and Twin Peaks Road and more particularly within a
portion of the northeast l/4 of section 20 and the northwest 1/4 of section 21, township 12 south,
range 12 east, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 141
single family detached and attached home lots on 35.08 acres; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on
February 26, 1997, and the Platating Commission recommended 6-1 that the Town Council approve
the preliminary plat, with conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council heard from the representative of the owner, staff, and
members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held March 18, 1997, and has
determined that the preliminary plat map submitted by Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson
should be approved, with conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana
that the preliminary plat map for 141 single family detached and attached home lots on 35.08 acres
submitted by Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson and located at the northwest corner of
Coachline Boulevard and Twin Peaks Road and more particularly within a portion of the northeast
1/4 of section 20 and the northwest 1/4 of section 21, township 12 south, range 12 east, be approved,
subject to the following condition:
1. The Developer shall provide for sidewalks on both sides of the streets.
