HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2008-143 preliminary block plat for tapestry estates, lots 1-61MARANA RESOLUTION N0.2008-143 RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR TAPESTRY ESTATES, LOTS 1-61 COMMON AREA 'A' (PRIVATE STREETS), AND COMMON AREA 'B' (FUNCTIONAL OPEN SPACE) WHEREAS, Baker and Associates Engineering, Inc., representing the property owner, Tapestry Properties III, LLC, has applied for approval of a preliminary plat fora 61-lot single- family residential subdivision on 42.54 acres, including lots 1 through 61 and Common Area "A" (Private Streets), and Common Area "B" (Functional Open Space) generally located on the south side of Heritage Club Boulevard, approximately one mile west of Thornydale Road and one-half mile north of Moore Road within the west half of Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 13 East; and WHEREAS, on April 17, 1990, the Mayor and Town Council adopted Ordinance 90.11, the Foothills Specific Plan encompassing approximately 396 acres; and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission at their regular meeting held on September 24, 2008, voted 6-0 to recommend that the Mayor and Town Council approve said preliminary plat; and WHEREAS, the Marana Mayor and Town Council, at their regular meeting on October 21, 2008, determined that the preliminary plat for Tapestry Estates, Lots 1-61 should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the preliminary plat for Tapestry Estates, Lots 1-61 is hereby approved.
