Price and VI. gRDER OF BUSINESS A~ A~rov~al Of Revised Communit~ Deve!opment Block Rankin~ And Possible Reduction Of Amoonts On Some Of Grant Fund The Pro,rams A motion was made by Eddie Honea, seconded by Sharon Price to approve the Committee Recommendation For Council Action dated March 8, 1993 with 24 rankings for a Total of $658,322.00 to be the official list to be processed and forwarded to Pima Coun~y~ (see attachment) A motion was made by Eddie Honea, seconded by Bill Schisler and carried unanimously to rescind Council Action of March 2, 1993 meeting approving the Council Ranking of 1993 CDBG funded pro- grams. MINUTES OF SPECIAL_ COUNCIL MEETING MARANA TOWN COUNCI~ MARCH ~ ]993 A motion was made by Bill Schisler, seconded by Eddie Honea and carried unanimously to approve the final Council rankings report as the official ranking order of 1993 CDBG Program requests. (see attachment) A motion WaS made by Eddie Honea, seconded by Sharon Price and carried unanimously to approve the Committee Recommendations for final action as the CDBG Programs to be forwarded to Pima County for approval. B. Redesignation Of Revolvin~ Loan Fund Discussion/Action A motion was made by Eddie Honea, seconded by Bill Schisler carried unanimously to approve the Committee Recommendation expending $89,339.77 of the CDBG Program Income account as lows: Business Development Finance Corp. $ 939.77 1993 Summer Swim Program $23,400.00 Moore Road Improvement $65~000.0(_1) Total $89,339.77 a nd for fol-- l'ime: 7:40 P.M. A motion ~as made by Eddie Honea, seconded by Bill Schisler and carried unanimously to rescind tl~e motion of February 2, 1993 and redesignate the 1991 Economic Development Program of $50,000 back to it's original purpose as a Business Revolving Loan Fund, while retaining the title of Economic Development Program. Time 7:12 P.M. J. Kevin O'Connell, 13601N. Reyher, Marana Vista, Marana, AZ Kevin O'Connell stated his group will be requesting four grants. Mr. O'Connetl's request is for curbing in the Marana Vista Area. 2. Aaron Gierra, Keith Grove and Mary Allen - Marana Vista Mr. Gierra, Mr. Grove and Ms Allen are requesting street lights for the Marana Vista Area. 3. Irma Slape, Morris Slape and Dorothy Berry - Marana Vista Mrs. Slape, Mr. Slape and Ms Berry are requesting Chip-seal the Marana Vista roads. for 4. Dan Groseclose, 14200 W. Imogene Pl. SECTION 38-431 (¢) ~ FOR DISCUSSION WITH TOWN ATTORNEY RE~A~D!NG C~MMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM A motion was made by Helen Key seconded by Bill Schisler and carried unanimously to go into executive session. Pima County Department of Transportation Section 18 Rural Travel Program ~arana Area Ben Golf, Pima Department of Transportation, 201N. Stone, Tuc- son. Ben Golf gave a brief overview of the Section 18 Rural Transit Program. Mr. Golf also stated that there would be a Public Meeting at the Marana Town Hall on March 11, 1993, at ?:00 P.M. A motion was made by Bill Schisler, seconded by Doug Mostyn and carried unanimously to support Pima County's application 'For Section 18 funding to provide public transportation service for the Marana area. Resolution No. 93-09 Pima County/Town Of Marana Intergovern- menta__l A_~reement Between The Town of Marana and Pima Countz Division O__F Elections For Rroviding ElectiQn Services To The Town Of Marana A motion was made by Bill Bchisler, seconded by Sharon Price and carried unanimously to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Marana and Pima County for provision of services by the Pima County Division of Elections with the cor- rection of changing Section 1 "even" to "odd" year. A motion was made by Bill Schisler, seconded by Eddie Honea and carried unanimously to approve resolution No. 93-09 Pima County/Town of Marana approving and intergovernmental agreement between the Town of Marana and Pima County Division Of Elections G_~, Expenditure Reduction Plan Town Manager Hurvie Davis addressed the Council stating that revenues from development fees are coming in, which is helping to reduce the deficient H.. ~iscussiQP of a Futura 3oint Meeting With The Greater/Marana Avr& VAlley Chamber Of Commerce Renee Basile-Bearse, Executive Director of the Greater Marana/Avra Valley chamber of Commerce addressed the Council regarding an Economic Development Action Plan and asked that the Town and Chamber as well as the Marana Planning and Zoning Com- mission meet and work out a plan so that all are going in the same direction. Renee Baisle-Bearse and Hurvie Davis will work together to set this up. I_~ Founders Day Report Chairperson Sharon Price announced that this year's Marana Found- ers Day theme will be "Good Old Fashioned Country Fair" J.
