Has evolved into a high tech employment and urban center. -- As the Portland Metro area grew and developed, Hillsboro landed large employers, such as Intel. -Light rail connection was planned to Downtown Portland, making Orenco Station a prime spot for TOD and TND. ~- Orenco Station became the key element in redefining Hillsboro's image from a primary agrarian community to one of an urban center.
