Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2009-105 salary schedule for classified employees for FY 2009-2010MARANA RESOLUTION N0.2009-105 RELATING TO PERSONNEL; APPROVING A SALARY SCHEDULE FOR CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS the Marana Town Code, Section 3-3-1, provides that the Town Council shall adopt a personnel system for classified employees of the Town; and WHEREAS the Town's Personnel Policies and Procedures, Policy 3-3, provides that the Town Council and Town Manager shall ensure the preparation, development and maintenance of a classification plan for classified employees; and WHEREAS the Town's Personnel Policies and Procedures, Policy 3-4, provides that the Town Council shall adopt a salary schedule for classified employees; and WHEREAS the Town Council finds that adoption of the classified salary schedule as set forth in this resolution is in the best interests of the Town and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Town of Marana hereby approves the Classified Salary Schedule for fiscal year 2009-2010 attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. The Town's Manager and staff are hereby directed and authorized to undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to implement the Classified Salary Schedule in Exhibit A. SECTION 3. Since it is necessary for the preservation of the peace, health and safety of the Town of Marana that this resolution become immediately effective, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
