RELATING TO PERSONNEL; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO
THE FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 TEMPORARY SALARY SCHEDULE ADOPTED BY THE
TOWN COUNCIL ON JUNE 23, 2009; ADDING THE TITLE AND SALARY RANGE FOR
AN AIRPORT MANAGER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS the Marana Town Code, Section 3-1-3(C) and (D), creates and defines
classes of Town employees known as term-limited temporary and short-term temporary
employees; and
WHEREAS on June 23, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-104, the Town Council approved
a salary schedule for temporary employees; and
WHEREAS the Town Council finds that amending the temporary salary schedule as set
forth in this resolution is in the best interests of the Town and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Town of Marana hereby approves the amended temporary salary
schedule, attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. The Town's Manager and staff are hereby directed and authorized to
undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to implement the amended temporary
salary schedule in Exhibit A.
SECTION 3. Since it is necessary for the preservation of the peace, health and safety of
the Town of Marana that this resolution become immediately effective, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
MARANA, ARIZONA, this 6th day of October, 2009.
