HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2009-184 amendment to the FY 2009-2010 temporary salary scheduleMARANA RESOLUTION N0.2009-184 RELATING TO PERSONNEL; APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 TEMPORARY SALARY SCHEDULE ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL ON JUNE 23, 2009; ADDING THE TITLE AND SALARY RANGE FOR A REGIONAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLANNER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS the Marana Town Code, Section 3-1-3(C) and (D), creates and defines classes of Town :employees known as term-limited temporary and short-term temporary employees; and WHEREAS on June 23, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-104, the Town Council approved a salary schedule for temporary employees; and WHEREAS the Town Council finds that amending the temporary salary schedule as set forth in this resolution is in the best interests of the Town and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Town of Marana hereby approves the amended temporary salary schedule, attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. The Town's Manager and staff are hereby directed and authorized to undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to implement the amended temporary salary schedule in Exhibit A. SECTION 3. Since it is necessary for the preservation of the peace, health and safety of the Town of Marana that this resolution become immediately effective, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
