Accomplishments in the 1 st Quarter
On Tuesday February 28, the Marana Chamber held their first Marana
Chamber Community and Business Builder award ceremony. The
evening was a great success and Trico Electric won the award.
On March 29, the Marana Chamber and the Marana Foundation hosted
the Marana State of the Town Address at the Stardance Center. The
event was a sell out, 450 people attended the event. The Marana
Chamber and the Marana Foundation are looking forward to hosting the
event next year.
The Marana Board of Diredors unanimously approved supportin~ the
Regional Transportation Questions 1 & 2 and Bonds 3 & 4 for the
expansion of Kino Hospital.
The Marana Board of Directors unanimously approved supportin~ JTED,
the Joint Technical Education District, for the Marana Unified School
District.
