AGENDA TITLE: Resolution No. 2006-68: Relating to Streets; approving a
recommendation to name an un-named public easement "Majestic
Saguaro Lane" on behalf of Linda Whitney (Not a Town
Maintained Roadway)
DISCUSSION
Linda Whitney is requesting to name an un-named public easement located in the Northeast
quarter of Section 31, Township 11 South, Range 13 East, Gila and Salt River Meridian, Town
of Marana, Pima County, Arizona. "Majestic Saguaro Lane" is accessed from Oldfather Drive
north of Tangerine Road and provides access to four residential properties located on the said
easement as depicted on Exhibit "A".
Pima County Addressing Department approved the proposed naming on April 11, 2006 (Exhibit
"B"). Additionally, the Intergovernmental Agreement between Pima County and the Town
outlines that addressing and street naming services shall be processed by the Town.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approving the naming of un-named public easement to "Majestic Saguaro
Lane".

RELATING TO STREETS; APPROVING A RECOMMENDATION TO NAME AN UN-
NAMED PUBLIC EASEMENT "MAJESTIC SAGUARO LANE" ON BEHALF OF LINDA
WHITNEY (NOT A TOWN-MAINTAINED ROADWAY)
WHEREAS, Linda Whitney has requested this street naming; and
WHEREAS, the Town recommends to name the un-named public easement to "Majestic
Saguaro Lane" more fully depicted on the Location Map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, Pima County Addressing Department approved the proposed street name on
April 11, 2006, attached hereto as Exhibit "B" incorporated herein by this reference;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, that the Town of Marana name the un-named public
easement to "Majestic Saguaro Lane" more fully depicted on the Location Map attached as
Exhibit "A".
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 6th day of June, 2006.

Dear Keith;
Pima County Addressing has been requested by adjacent property owners of an unnamed
easement to approve a street name request and forward the proposal to the Town of
Marana for approval and recordation. The easement is in Section 31, Township 11 S,
Range BE, west of Oldfather Drive, south of Moore Road an in the town limits of
Marana.
The approved name is:
Majestic Saguaro Lane
I have included a street name map, the original request, Assessors information and Email
approvals from the property owners. Please inform me of the scheduled date of the Town
Council meeting and when approved, please mail a copy of the recorded documents and
we will proceed with address changes and official notifications.
