TOWN COUNCIL
MEETING
INFORMATION
TOWN OF MARANA
MEETING DATE: June 6, 2006
AGENDA ITEM: J. 12
TO: MAYOR AND COUNCIL
FROM: Frank Cassidy, Town Attorney
SUBJECT: Resolution No. 2006-81: Relating to Building; declaring the Ari-
zona State Plumbing Code, the 1997 Uniform Fire Code, and the
2003 Marana Outdoor Lighting Code as public records filed with
the Town Clerk; and declaring an emergency.
DISCUSSION
This resolution makes the clean and redline versions of the amended Town Code Title 7 (Build-
ing) relating to the Arizona State Plumbing Code, the 1997 Uniform Fire Code, and the 2003
Marana Outdoor Lighting Code a public record. This process makes it possible for the clean re-
formatted Town Code to be adopted by reference under A.R.S. ~ 9-802, thereby avoiding the re-
quirement to publish the entire document, as would otherwise be required under A.R.S. ~ 9-812.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 2006-81, immediately after or at the same time as
the adoption of Ordinance No. 2006.16.
SUGGESTED MOTION
I move to adopt Resolution No. 2006-81, and declaring an emergency.
