A RESOLUTION OF Tile TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
APPOINTING TWO (2) MARANA WATER UTILITY ADVISORY COMM1Tlm,~ MEMBERS
FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS.
WI-IIe. REAS, pursuant to Section 14-2-3 of the Mararm Town Code, the Mayor and Town
Council are empowered to appoint the Mararm Water Utility Advisory CommiRee Members
through a majority vote; and
WI-~J~EAS, two (2) of t~e seven (7) Mararia Water Utility Advisory Committee Members
are currently vacant, said seats previously held by Mr. Stanley Kloss and Mr. William Boyd
Roberts; and
WHEREAS, the Mararia Water Advisory Committee has recommended the following
persons as potential candidates to fill the vacant positions: Mr. Jerry I-Iarfis and Mr. Joe Reilly;
and
WHEREAS, at a public meeting held November 18, 1997, the Mayor and Town Council
heard from representativea of the Water Department, members of the Water Utility Advisory
Committee and the prospective members to the Mararia Water Utility Advisory Committee
regarding the qualifications and background of the prospective members, and thereafter conducted
a vote to determine which two (2) applicants would be appointed to the Mararia Water Utility
Advisory Committee.
NOW, THEREFOcRE, BE IT RESOLV~B that the Mayo~,a~,d Council of the Town of
Mararia hereby appoint .~err)/. /~a~-,~,'~ , and Q3e ,'5~ ;'/~v' to the Mararia
Water Utility Advisory Confmittee, for a period of three (3) years, said term to expire on
December 31, 2000.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 18th day of November, 1997.
